U15 Boys

U15B Wolverines entered the U16 Nationals in Calgary

The Wolverines U15B team arrived in Calgary ready to test themselves against the best teams in the country at the U16 level, and they delivered a weekend full of determination, composure, and steady improvement. Throughout pool play and into the playoff rounds, the boys demonstrated the same qualities that defined their season: resilience in long rallies, disciplined serving, and a commitment to supporting one another on and off the court.

Several matches went deep into tight sets, showing how quickly the team adapted to the elevated pace and physicality of Nationals. Even when facing powerhouse clubs, the Wolverines refused to back down—settling into their systems, making smart adjustments, and competing with confidence. Their strongest stretches came when they trusted their training: aggressive serving runs, improved first-ball contact, and balanced offensive decision‑making by both setters.

The boys were 1 point away from moving to the finals in their respective decision and winning a medal. Unfortunately, they lost the third set in the semi-finals 16-14 to a good U16 team.

Beyond the results, Nationals highlighted the team’s growth. Players stepped into bigger roles, communicated with maturity, and showed the kind of composure that coaches love to see at the end of a long season. The boys represented the Wolverines program with pride, sportsmanship, and unmistakable energy.

It was a memorable finish to their U15 year—and a promising foundation for what comes next.

Premier 2 - Edmonton

Division 2

The Wolverines Volleyball team had a standout tournament, blending youthful energy with fresh talent. With two younger athletes confidently playing up an age group this year and ten new additions (only one returning athlete) strengthening the roster, the team quickly found its rhythm. Their hard work, chemistry, and relentless competitiveness paid off in a big way as they battled through Division 2 and ultimately claimed the gold medal, a testament to how quickly this new group came together and rose to the challenge.

Club Volleyball at SAW

Our teams compete within the Volleyball Alberta club system, which governs age divisions, athlete registration, and competition across the province.

Club volleyball differs from school volleyball in that it runs outside the school season and includes regular training and organized competition. At SAW, this structure allows us to focus not only on skill development and competition, but also on building strong teams where athletes support one another, take responsibility, and grow together over the course of the season.

Winning matters, but it is not the only measure of success. We believe athletes perform best in an environment rooted in respect, accountability, and a shared commitment to the team.

Train to win. Create community. Love the game.

Wolverines is built around continuity, shared expectations, and athletes who hold themselves and each other accountable. The goal is long-term development, where players grow year over year in skill, responsibility, and their contribution to both the team and the St. Albert volleyball community.

For the current season, Wolverines offers club teams in the following age divisions: U15 Boys | U15 Girls | U13 Girls | U12 Girls
